WEATHER WATCH: More snow on the doorstep
At least two inches of snow are expected in the latest round of winter weather hitting Kansas City.
The National Weather Service predicts between 2-5 inches of snow for Wyandotte County. After the snow tampers off, expect cold and windy weather for the next two days.
No closings have been announced as of 2:30 a.m., but here's KMBC Channel 9's link of closings. Check it out if interested.
The full four-day forecast:
Overnight: Snow. Low around 31. Calm wind. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
Monday: Snow. High near 31. Calm wind becoming north northwest between 15 and 18 mph. Winds could gust as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
Monday Night: A chance of snow before midnight. Cloudy during the early evening, then gradual clearing, with a low around 8. Wind chill values between -4 and 6. Blustery, with a north northwest wind between 16 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Tuesday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 24. Wind chill values between -5 and 5. Blustery, with a northwest wind between 15 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph.
Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 9. North northwest wind between 7 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 25.
Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 16.
Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 32.
Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 22.
